searching for my creativity

I am in a funk. Lack of creativity = unhappy feelings. That's not what this blog is supposed to be about. But, I guess being in a creative funk is what happens sometimes. So, in an attempt to get out of my funk and do something creative I'm posting links to some recipes that I've tried since my move to the Midwest. My goal was to post a new recipe a week. Obviously, that hasn't happened. While I search for my lost creativity I hope you enjoy these delicious recipes. If you happen to try any of them let me know how they turn out for you.
2. turkey shepherd's pie*note: I use ground turkey and chicken broth instead of the beef.
6. arroz con pollo - I combine 3 recipes from here, here, and here.

neither

It's been exactly 4 weeks since my last post and I'm realizing that this blog has turned in to something that is neither creative nor happy. I guess I'm searching for my blog's voice. I don't want it to merely be a regurgitation of other people's posts - i.e. "pointless reblogging". My husband, who will affectionately be referred to as Ebert on this blog, recently shared this podcast with me about "turbo charging your blog" and it got me thinking a lot about what I want to do, or should be doing, with this here blog of mine. If you are a blogger or enjoy reading blogs than I encourage you to listen to what John Gruber and Merlin Mann are suggesting, which is to "find your obsession and follow it."
So, while I'm finding my obsession I apologize that I might be intermittently absent from this blog. I want to get better at something, I just don't know what that something is yet.
In the meantime, if there is anyone reading these posts, check out the links to the right of some of my favorite blogs.
